As with all laser hair removal methods, PRIMELASE HR laser requires a series of treatments, a course of 6-8 treatments with top up sessions. Laser hair removal works best when hair follicles are in their mature stage; however, at any given time your hair is in various stages of growth. Thus, most if not all the hairs will fall out in the weeks following treatment, but only the hairs that were in the active growth phase will have been permanently destroyed. The rest will grow back ready for your next treatment. Even if you cannot see hairs at your next visit, the follicles will still be present underneath the skin surface and this is the target for the laser. Primelase HR can be safely used on most areas of the body that have unwanted hair. Most commonly treated areas include the bikini, legs, arms, chest, back, shoulders, stomach, neck, chin, underarms and sideburns.
You shouldn’t tweeze, wax, or pluck your hair before laser hair removal treatment as that will remove the hair from the roots, which is where the target pigment is that you’re using the laser to hit. You should also shave 24 hours before your treatment as it will give your skin time to relax and will help with sensitivity. Do not wax or pluck hairs for at least 3 weeks prior to treatment. Do not bleach or use depilators for at least 1 week prior to treatment or perfumed/aromatherapy products for 24-48 hours before treatment.
